We index mark and
carefully remove the old
core for re-use in the
rewound transformer.

4. Transformer
Unwound
The transformer is
carefully unwound to
count turns, measure
wire size, and determine
interleave pattern.
Using the information
gathered during the
unwinding process, a
new coil is wound.
Teflon lead wires are
added in the original
colors.
7. Coil is Varnished
The coil is varnished in a
polyester resin.
8. Core is Intalled
The original core is
installed into the new
coil. The assembly is
then baked in an oven to
re-set the wax
impregnating the core.
9. Finished
Transformer
Coil wedges and end
bells are reinstalled to
finish the transformer..
