G'Day!

My name is Yannis Brown. I have been writing mods on the Amiga
Scene now for about 5 years I think! However it has only been in the last
2 years or so that I have really written stuff that I consider decent.
Well, practice makes perfect no? (Not saying I am perfect yet)

Anyway, here is a collection of my mods I feel are worth listening
to. Many of them don't really have a single particular style you can
associate with. All of them are written with ProTracker 2.3A on the Amiga
so PC owners should use a mod-player which is ProTracker Command Compatible
otherwise mods that use CIA timing will sound out of sync! Hey... get an
Amiga if you can't find a mod player that plays them correctly! :) Anyway,
I lied.. "Street Surfing" was started on the Amiga, but filled out and
completed on the PC using ScreamTracker3.21

Ok Brag Time:

For all those of you who are interested in what sort of setup I use.
I own an Amiga 500 with 4.5 meg ram, KickStart 2, an 212meg IDE hard drive.
I use a relatively cheap sampler but can still get some pretty good stuff
out of it. Also connected to the Amiga is my Roland D5 synth (which
desperately needs upgrading... so if anyone wishes to send a donation
I won't knock it back!) via a Com-Midi midi interface.
I have DigiView Gold Image Digetizer, .. but do I use it? NO!

My PC Setup includes a P90 with 8meg ram (soon to be 16), Win3.11
is Win95 Really worth it? (I'll find out soon), 1 Gig Quantum FireBall HD,
15" FlatScreen Monitor, GUS MAX with 1meg, SoundBlaster Pro (just for, you
know... compatability), a 4x Speed CDRom and a 270Meg SyQuest Drive with
two hard drive cartridges. And of course, least but not last, my stereo!

I've been writing S3M format mods in ScreamTracker3.2x for the past
year and a half now with my 1Meg Gravis Ultrasound (Max). I started out when
I borrowed a friend's GUS and fell head over heals in love with it. (Of
course, I managed to keep it for about 4 months *Grin*) In that time I had
started 4 Songs.. Arabian.S3M, Wind.S3M, Tones.S3M and BanjoJam.S3M. Now I
have about 10 or so S3Ms with about another 5 or so under construction...
For most of my new releases keep an eye out in the Internet News Group:
alt.binaries.sounds.mods, or in IRC on #Trax (on Anothernet), and sometimes
to ftp.cdrom.com.

Hints: Samples & Instruments
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Many people keep asking me about where I get my samples from. Well,
when I started off, I used to take sound samples from any mod I could get my
hands on! Other mods are a really good place for this. However, these days I
sample alot of stuff from CD, anyone's synthesizer I can get my hands on,
Radio, and still other mods.
