Modelling Instructions:
1. Create the four missing Locations for Shaft 1 (the same Lathe is used for all
operations of both parts)
2. Assign the setup time to the shared Locations (see technological operation)
3. Create a second Variable (global)

4. Add two entities for the Shaft (Shaft_1 and
group_shaft_1)
5. Remember to assign new Interfaces in Path Networks
6. Use the same Resources as previously
7. Add the Processing and Routing information for the shaft – assume the same
Modelling Instruction as in Exercise 2 and 3
8. Set up the Arrival parameters according to the Production Plan below. Define the First
Time for optimum sequencing of parts – Gear 1 should be commenced immediately
after the Input pallet is released (free) from Shaft 1. (Update Location Capacity based
on the Production Plan)
