Put your roborock/mi robot on server china
Warning: There is a risk of polishing your vacuum cleaner, especially if you delete inappropriate files when you are
connected to the console or if you flash an incorrect version in your vacuum cleaner. I am at no time responsible for

Prerequisites
- ! ! ! ! ! Xiaomi! ! Roborock S50 (v2) ! or Xiaomi Mi Robot
- ! ! ! ! ! ! Windows computer.
For steps 1 and 2: two methods are possible. One fast (to be preferred) and one slow.
You will find in the appendix (at the end of the tutorial), the slow method.
Step 1: Install the modified "mi home" app
Installing applications outside the Google Play Store requires changing phone settings to allow applications from so-
called "unknown" sources to be installed.
On his phone: Settings → General tab → Security then tick Unknown sources.
Download the modified mihome app to his android phone:

Install it, open it and connect with its xiaomi ID to recover its usual configuration.
Step 2: get your token back
on the new app mi home: Go to the robot, configuration menu / general settings / network information
We are interested in two lines: the local IP address of the robot and the token to be copied and stored for the rest of
the procedure
Step 3 - Download the "xiaomi files" pack

Extract the zip archive.
Step 4 - Installing the root firmware = with console access enabled
In the Win-MiRobo folder you previously downloaded, edit the win-mirobo.ini file with the notepad
and define the token and IP address of your device. Save the file (file/save)
Then run win-mirobo.bat.
Click on the firmware flash option in the first menu that appears. (Type 1)
In the second menu, you will get 4 possible firmware to install.
If you have a Roborock S50 v2 vacuum cleaner: select v11_00141414_root_v2 - If you have a Xiaomi
v1 vacuum cleaner: select v11_003194_root_v1
Make no mistake about it! Risk of bridging!!!!!
Now it is time to wait, it can take between 10 and 15 minutes.
You can launch the robot app to check that everything is in order, if you want, but don't update it....
Otherwise, you will have to repeat this step.
Step 5 - Transform the robot from the international version to Chinese
Open the putty-win64.exe application (if your computer is 64 bits, or the other if 32 bits), which is
located in the Putty folder.
Once the application is open, proceed as follows:
To the right in "HostName (or IP address)": type the IP of your robot
On the left: under the "Connection" tree, choose "Data":
Right: in "Auto-login username", write "root" (without quotes)
On the left: Click on[+] in front of SSH, choose " Auth ".
Right: box: "Private key file for authentication": Browse the file "root_rsa_private_key.ppk" that you will
have in the Win-MiRobo folder
- Choose "Open" at the bottom...
Now you should see a black console waiting for you to enter commands. The last line should display
something like "root @ roborock".
Copy, paste and validate (keyboard entry key) the following lines one after the other.
(To paste: in the console: just right click). Then press enter to confirm
Go to the next line and start over to the last one
mount /mnt/default/ -o remount,rw
rm -Rf /mnt/default/sounds
rm -Rf /mnt/default/roborock.conf
exit
After running the last line, Putty will close.
Now go to your vacuum cleaner, disconnect it from the base and turn it off (hold the start button).
Then turn it back on, wait for it to start and put it back on the base.
Step 6 - Restore the original firmware: not root
Open the Win-Mirobo application again and select the option: : firmware Flash.
- If you have a Roborock S50 v2 vacuum cleaner, select v11_00141414_v2
- If you have a Xiaomi Vacuum v1, select v11_003194_v1
Now, we still have to wait, remember that this can take between 10 and 15 minutes. Once the installation is
complete, your vacuum cleaner has official firmware, without access to the console. (Not root).
Step
7:
Connect
the
robot to the Chinese server
In the app mi home : profile/parameters/regional parameters : continental China
Redo the association (reset wifi, connection...)
He won't bother you anymore with localization stories....
Step 8: Update the robot firmware to the latest version
In the app mi home. Go to the robot / general settings/ check for updates
If you were on Android, delete the old version of the app we installed, to put the most recent one from the
Play store.
APPENDIX: METHOD 2: Slow method
Step 1: Know the local IP of the robot
via your router
via the app mi home : go to the robot / three dots at the top right/ general settings/ network info/ IP address :

Enable developer options and ADB (USB debugging) on the smartphone
Check "USB Debugging".
Click on "OK".
Go to the new menu: "Options for developers".
