IMPORTANCE OF TRANSITIONS
We refer to CSV Yoga as a
Transitional Style
of yoga, a booster and a
compliment to any yoga style. We are not messing with teachers’ knowledge
of how to refine a pose once set student is in it, we are teaching them how to
move students into poses primarily through the TRANSITIONS.

How
we get into a pose is more important by far than what we do once we
are there. 90 percent of the anatomy and alignment is built--or destroyed,
depending on how a student transitions, or moves, from the ground upward
into the pose.
The following CSV concepts apply mostly to the transitions, and then we
offer slight refinements and breathing cues once you have built the pose
from the ground up.

The 2 CORE QUALITIES are an umbrella over Cues 1-7. You can refer to
them as you go through the steps, to point a student’s attention toward what
quality they are predominating in each section of a pose: Foundation, Core,
Expression.

encourage students to stay sensitive, move them along the spectrum of the
