Hello and welcome to issue 19 of POPSICLE fanzine, this time out we take a closer
look at the U.S. Lemon Popsicle remake, Last American Virgin.
We bring you a magazine review from Raymond Durgnat, a website review from
LAV fan Lou Materia and an ESPN radio interview with Diane Franklin!! Many thanks
to Lou for giving permission to use her article, which can also be seen on 80’s
rewind website http://www.fast-rewind.com.
We issue an APB on Steve Antin plus news of a new Lemon Popsicle DVD and
soundtrack release!
We also take a look at Jonathan Bernstein’s view of teenage movies through his
Pretty in Pink book, which features little snippets from both Lemon Popsicle and
Last American Virgin.
And if all that’s not enough we bring you an edition of Top of the Popsicles with a
difference, with featured artist Rock-A-Teens!!
