The Soft September Air by Charlotte Hastings was broadcast on BBC Radio 4 on 7th October 1978. Story: Widowed author Lindsey Ashe decides to let a room to a student from the the local university, little expecting that she will have three young men staying in her house. She becomes counsellor, and friend to the three boys, but with Dickon, there is a subtly different relationship.
