If the phone, brought to service, is suffering from following symptom

Phone does not switch on at all
Blank display and backlight on when pressing power key. Two/three
seconds later the phone turns off
Gallery folders missing after power cycle
the recommended repair action is to re-flash the phone ‘As manufactured’
with MCU SW version 5.10 or later.
Notes:
-
Before attempting re-flash, ensure that Phoenix service software is
updated to version
2005.44.4.120
or later (to avoid flashing failure).
After Phoenix installation, the prommer must be also upgraded.
Because of the area of memory affected, the phone must be re-
flashed ‘As manufactured’
There is a small risk that re-flashing hardware with the new
128Kpage Combo memory, can result in a missing midlet in some
variants.
This risk is eliminated in Phoenix service SW 2005.44.4.120
and later.
