NEW MINOR DATA PACKAGE V27.05 (MCU SW 2.00.052)
New minor data package version 27.05 has been released for RM-43.
Before installing minor data package, please install Phoenix Service
Software version 2006.34.2.156 (or later) and major data package v 27.0.
Do not use this data package with previous Phoenix releases.
Software downgrade is not allowed, due to BB5 security. In
case older software is flashed, the phone does not boot up.
USB flashing doesn’t work if phone cannot boot up. This can
be fixed by flashing newer software or the same software that
was previously used in the phone. This can be done only in
level 3 service using phone specific adapter and prommer.
Size of the data package is 8 MB.

Known limitation:
-
USB flashing is not possible with this variant. Prommer and service
devices must be used.
Notes:
Tutorial content is kept on the HDD and will require re-loading via separate
.zip file if required after HDD is formatted.

Formatting the hard drive is recommended before flashing. This is to
insure that applications that were installed on the device previously are
re-installed. If applications are not re-installed this may cause instability
of the device.
Once flashing is complete, the *#7370# (lock code – 12345) should be
entered in the keypad to ensure the old SW is erased.
The TPO (Tutorial, media content) content that was delivered with the device
is available to be reloaded on the device if required.
The end-user should be informed that their DRM protected content on
the HDD will not play after the device is flashed. They should back up
their Device before it is flashed. (C drive and HDD). Applications that
have been installed on the HDD may have to be reinstalled to play
correctly after flashing. The C drive can be backed up before flashing
with “save user settings” with Phoenix. This will retain the DRM
protected content licenses contained in the C drive.
