MAPS NAVIGATION LICENSE TRANSFER IN N95
To fully utilize the Maps program as personal navigator the user can
purchase navigation license for N95. The purchased license is tied to device
IMEI and SIM card (IMSI). If either IMEI or SIM change in device for some
reason, the license will not be valid anymore due the loss of identification
information. In situations where SIM card is changed or device software
updated, the license can be restored by following the procedure presented in
chapters
‘SIM card change’
and ‘SW
update’.
License can be restored
infinitely during validity period.
If device IMEI code is changed for some reason (e.g. device SWAP), Nokia
contact centre should be contacted to restore the license.
Note: Only one of the two required identification information may
change infinitely during the license validity time. If for some reason
both IMEI and SIM are changed, license will be lost. Nokia contact
centre should be contacted if restore is needed.

SIM card change:
When SIM card is changed the license can be restored by following
procedure.
1. Start Maps application.
2. Go to „Options -> Extra services“
3. Select „Add navigation -> Accept -> Select the correct region“ (e.g. in
case of Finland, select Nordic countries)
4. After this query: „New SIM card identified. Do you want to transfer license
to this SIM card?“ is received.
5. Allow connection to license server by selecting proper Internet access
point.
6. Press „OK“

SW update
When end users SW is updated, the license can be restored by following
procedure.
1. Start Maps application.
2. Go to „Options -> Extra services“
3. Select „Add navigation -> Accept -> Select the correct region“ (e.g. in
case of Finland, select Nordic countries)
4. After this select: „Options -> Update“.
5. Allow connection to license server by selecting proper Internet access
point.
6. Press „OK“
The license updating after device change or SW update as seen through UI.
Device Change
If for some reason IMEI changes in end users device (e.g. in case of device
SWAP), Nokia contact centre should be contacted to restore the license.
